When first thinking about this project I thought I was able to add text into my Zine so I wanted to make a light hearted mini book that spoofed off a tv show or children's book. My final decision was to make a zine based on Little Miss which I remember specifically reading Little Miss Sunshine and having a t-shirt. The Little Miss books have multiple characters so I thought it would be funny to create different Little Miss people with new names and ideas that related to people who go to CU Boulder. I wanted to make a zine that could relate to other people and not just do something personal. Seeing everyone else’s zine during critique and having to guess what each page meant, I knew I messed up and needed to remake mine. Each page of my zine had a new Little Miss character with the caption of their name or action underneath which I had misunderstood in the directions that if I were to use text it needed to be embedded into the image. Once I had re-done this project, I moved all the names and captions to the end of the zine so that people could guess what each character was and then see if you were correct on any of the Little Miss characters. Also having re-done this, I saw where I went wrong in the first zine when printing and putting it together so my second time around I was able to fix the dimensions and put it together more easily. Since I did need to add another page to my zine with the list on the back I did end up having to cut it out separately and add it to the back instead of folding it together like every other page. Overall I really enjoyed this project and seeing my classmates zines. It was fun to pass these around and I hope to make more in the future.
